Summerwind Sales and Health Contract
**Please Read**
All puppies and
adults are as accurately
described as possible and
are guaranteed to be healthy
and "as we have represented"
at the time of the sale. Our
animals are priced according
to pedigree, quality,
breeding history and/or
possible future potential.
We make no guarantees
implied or otherwise that
any animal sold will gain
any type of show title, but
that they exhibit certain
potential and a possibility
of doing so based on our
evaluation at the time of
the sale. We do not
guarantee size or color . All puppies
not shown are sold with a
spay/neuter
contract. Any known
conformation faults
for show puppies sold on a
show contract will be discussed with the
buyer before a puppy is
purchased. If, for any
reason, the owner can not
keep the puppy/dog, the
puppy/dog must be returned
to Summerwind Kennel at the
owner's expense.
Summerwind's puppies/dogs
have a lifetime home here at
Summerwind Kennel. Our
puppies are
NOT
sold for resale
DEPOSITS:
A
non-refundable deposit
of half the total price will
hold the puppy of your
choice until puppy is
weaned. Full and final
payment is required on
puppies that are 6 wks and
older. If final payment has
not been made by the time
the puppy is 6 wks old the
deposit will be lost. If
shipping or other
arrangements are not made by
9-10 wks of age or a
puppy/dog is not picked up
at it's scheduled time to
leave a boarding and
maintenance fee of $15.00
per day will be added to the
sales price and must be paid
before the adult or puppy
leaves to it's new home.
Summerwind Kennel does not
refund money for purchased
puppies that are not picked
up or taken by their new
owners. Once a puppy or
dogs is purchased it is the
new owners responsibility to
pick it up and to provide a
clean and healthy
environment and to give
their new pet love and
attention. Again, if a
puppy/adult from Summerwind Kennel can not be
cared for in this manor they
will always have a home with
us and must be returned at
the owner's expense. We do
not give refunds for
buyer's remorse. It
is a new owners
responsibility to make sure
they are ready for a new pet
and educated in making their
decision to welcome a new
family member into their
home.
When reserving unborn
puppies, the same
non-refundable deposit
will be required. That
deposit will be applied
toward the purchase of
another dog or puppy in the
event that the desired puppy
is not born, or is not
available. The deposit will
not be refunded for puppies
due to cancellations.
Summerwind Kennel reserves
the right to determine when
a puppy/dog is ready to go
to it's new family. We
reserve the right to retain the registry
regardless of deposit if we
feel the puppy does not meet
certain AKC standards. If
the puppy is retained Limited
for any reason after a
deposit is made, you may
apply it toward the purchase
of another puppy/adult or
reserve a puppy from a
future litter. In no event
will the deposit be
returned.
Puppies are shipped at
9-10
weeks old as a courtesy
to
our clients unless other
arrangements have been made.
It is the responsibility of
the new owner to arrange
shipping although we can
help with recommendations
and arrangement as a
courtesy. They will have had all
veterinarian recommended
vaccines and dewormings. At the time of
placement in its new home
the puppy or adult will be
weaned from it's dam and
eating Hills Science Diet Puppy
(dry) chicken and barley
(small bites)
food.
Any puppy/dog leaving
Summerwind Kennel will be
healthy and have been
checked by our vet. We take
every precaution to insure
the safety of all of our
animals, but because we have
no control over the animal
once it leaves our kennel, Summerwind Kennel accepts no
responsibility for death or
illness of animals which may
be brought on by/ or as a
direct result of shipping or
exposure to other animals
and environments. We do
guarantee the health of the
puppy for 72 hours after
purchase and
the puppy must be seen by a
veterinarian within the 72
hours after leaving
Summerwind Kennel. If the
puppy dies or becomes sick
from an illness within the
72 hour guarantee time, Summerwind will replace
the puppy only
after an examination made by
a Summerwind Kennel
veterinarian. All AKC papers
and medical records must be returned with the
puppy. The puppy must be returned to Summerwind Kennel at the
expense of the buyer. Any
claims as a result of this
guarantee must be made
within the 72 hour time
period, accompanied by a
veterinary statement. This
guarantee does not
cover well puppy visits,
regular vaccines, deworming,
breed related issues
including retained testicles,
or any other veterinary
care/
medications.
All
puppies are guaranteed
against life threatening
hereditary or life
threatening genetic
defects until one year of
age. If a puppy develops
a life threatening
hereditary or life
threatening genetic defect
and it is documented by a
licensed veterinarian, has
been tested for such defects and
confirmed by one of our
veterinarians or
veterinarian of our choice
we will replace that
puppy/dog with another puppy
of equal value. No
refunds. The effected
puppy must be returned
with all AKC registration
and documentation at
buyers expense.
Any
legal filings by the buyer
must be filed in the
White County, Tennessee
Jurisdiction and the buyer
will be responsible for all
legal expenses incurred by Summerwind Kennel in any
case filed by the buyer that
is ruled in the favor of
Summerwind Kennel.s.
SHIPPING / TRANSPORTATION
CHARGES:
We
help arrange shipping nationwide via Pet
Ground Transportation AS A
COURTESY. All
shipping costs are the
responsibility of the buyer,
along with any costs for
special health requirements.
Again, we assist in shipping as a
courtesy.
Shipping crates are
$125.00 - 175.00
depending on the size of
your puppy/dog.
All dogs and puppies are sold requiring spay/neuter contracts unless said dog or puppy is sold with a show contract.
ALL
AKC registration papers will be passed
along to the buyer at the
time of
proof
of spay/neuter.
Spay/Neuter must be done
between 6-8 mos of age and
proof be sent to Summerwind
Kennel along with the names
of the puppy's sire and dam
and date of birth before the
dog/puppy is one year old.
This is the
responsibility of the new
owner. AKC papers are
not released after the
dog/puppy is one yr old.

If said contract is not
signed and
returned to Summerwind
Kennel before final purchase
is made there is
NO
guarantee.
