We are located in Sparta, TN and during our 25 years of breeding we have been dedicated to raising and finding homes for some of the most wonderful, well socialized, and healthy AKC Registered Italian Greyhound and Whippet puppies to surf the web today! All of our Summerwind Kennel Italian Greyhound Puppies and Whippets are AKC registered with most having extensive show champion backgrounds. We breed for conformation, breed type and temperament in all of our dogs and puppies. All of our parents meet AKC standards and guidelines for show, quality, size,  conformation, and temperament. 

All Summerwind Italian Greyhound and Whippet Puppies are sold with either a spay/neuter contract, limited registry unless another mutual agreement is reached before the sale or show contract. This is in preservation of Summerwind Kennels high breeding standards of Italian Greyhounds/Whippets  and the inability to determine the quality of some young puppies at an early age.  If after the maturity of the puppy, it is determined that the puppy does meet the AKC standard and has NO conformational faults or defects, and a show quality puppy was purchased from Summerwind Kennel, a limited registered puppy or dog will be released for Full AKC Registration by the buyer.

Our Italian Greyhound and Whippet dogs/puppies are all health checked and cleared by a veterinarian before ever leaving our home. All vaccines and dewormings are current, and a health guarantee is offered on every puppy sold.

We here at Summerwind Kennel raise our dogs and puppies in clean, well ventilated, heated play pen kennels and inside our home. All dogs and puppies are loved, well socialized and underfoot, in a family environment. They have been around all types of animals, children and people.

Please become an informed buyer and look at the AKC Standard so you will know if you are being sold something that is not a healthy, small, refined, elegant and playful IG or Whippet.  Ask questions of any breeder regarding size, health and temperament of a puppy,  parents and even grandparents.
